Sophie Dahl has been given the honour of switching on Bond Street's Christmas lights this year.
The supermodel will flick the switch at light up one of the world's most fashionable streets on 22nd November signalling the start of the festive period.
The switch on will also open a special Christmas shopping event in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's charity where of Bond Street's designer stores have donated exclusive prizes to a luxury tombola.
Stores including Asprey, Burberry, Tiffany & Co, DKNY and Pringle are all getting involved and also offering exclusive one night only special offers for Christmas shoppers.
Bond Street will close to traffic from 5pm on the night as a carol singers, live reindeer, street entertainers and musicians get to work setting the scene amid a snow shower before Sophie gets things going at 6pm.
