Valentino Takes Its Fashion To The Street

New creative directors at Valentino, Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli are already causing a stir in the fashion world.

The duo plan to broadcast their Paris debut live on plasma screens tonight, in specialist Valentino boutiques across the world.

Their couture collection will be screened in Paris, Milan and Rome, so eager fashion fans will be able to catch a glimpse of the designs.

Speculation too had been mounting that Valentino Garavani was involved in overseeing the collection, but now the retired couturier has issued a statement to "categorically deny any contact" with Chiuri and Piccioli or "the collections they design," according to WWD.

"If I decide to attend the presentation of their collection, it will only be as a supporter of two people I love and who have been close to me for many years." Garavani commented to WWD.
