Vivienne Westwood took part in a huge anti-war demonstration recently.

The iconic designer joined other stars including Bianca Jagger and Annie Lennox in London’s Parliament Square.

Westwood was fighting on behalf if the anti-Trident rally, which is opposing government, plans to implement a replacement for Trident Nuclear missiles.

Tim Clifton-Green, from the label's public relations office told vogue:" Vivienne is getting really political at the moment. Almost everything she does has got a political edge."

"She is a member of Liberty's Human Rights Organisation, she petitions for imprisoned activist Leonard Peltier and her slogan T-shirts are campaigning against globalisation."

"Yesterday was something she felt passionately about too."
