British heritage label Windsmoor is to follow in the footsteps of fellow labels Burberry and Jaegar getting a facelift in celebration of 75 eventful years in fashion.

Founded in 1933, the brand was one of the first to recognise the value of innovative ways to promote itself and became a household name thanks to its "Look your best in Windsmoor" ad slogan. It was also one of the first to pioneer the concept of department store concessions.

Now owned by British fashion group Jacques Vert, Windsmoor is to transform itself into a quintessentially British luxury brand. To kick off the proceedings it is launching Limited Edition, a collection of coats created from archive designs of the Forties and Fifties.

"We are really excited about this historic anniversary. The decision to re-brand Windsmoor has been two-fold; to both re-establish Windsmoor's 75-year status as a pre-eminent British brand for stylish, confident women of any age and also to cater to the needs of women seeking fashion which has a lasting appeal," explains Alex Warner, the label's brand director.
