The 31-year-old model and presenter is working with the magazine on the docu-series - that will take a closer look at what the future holds for the billion dollar industry - and is asking for fans to contribute questions.

She said: "I think it's important that we make a film that is an accurate representation of fashion as it stands now and where it's going in the future.

"I've been working in fashion since I was 15 and the thing that I have found is people are very dismissive of fashion in general, it's always seen as folly or it has connotations of vanity or indulgence and all of these things when actually it's occupied and driven by people who are highly creative, highly intelligent.

There's a perception of it being the only bit that you see on Instagram during fashion week, which is off champagne at a party, and a lovely dolly bird in a dress and it's almost sort of dumbed down. When actually a lot of thought and care and craftsmanship go into the cogs that turn it."

The series will launch on YouTube in September and will feature the biggest names in the industry - including the French designer Olivier Rousteing - who is adored by the likes of stars Taylor Swift and Cara Delevingne.

In a video introduction to the series posted on Vogue's website, the British model asked people to post their burning questions that she will put to the stars.

She said: "Say they had the opportunity to be in the room with anyone who worked in fashion, and could ask them any one thing, what would that urgent question be?"
