With six collections to create every year you'd think Jonathan Saunders would be worn out and fed up, but he says he enjoys the stress that comes with fashion designing.

Working around the clock is something that is expected of him to ensure that the clothes are perfect, but her isn't afraid to put in the hours.

He told Grazia magazine: "I love my job. Otherwise I wouldn't stay here until midnight every day the whole of my life. I'm not going to get out the violins.

"It's not that I have to. It's that I want to. I love the stress of it, trying to do something that maybe doesn't work out at first and then fixing it."

The designer, who has a team made up of 15 to 20 people at any given time, works on two main womenswear, two main menswear and two pre-collections every year and has revealed the thought behind his autumn/winter '14 womenswear range.

He said: "It's much meaner this time. I like mean. It's about seeing the beauty in something that isn't obviously precious, which is a funny thing to play with when you're working with luxury.

"It's a bit like, what is expensive? What does expensive look like? To ask that question is my job, I suppose."

Jonathan is celebrating after the success of his runway shows at London Fashion Week and now continues to the Paris leg of the shows, which he is excited about.

He added: "I love shows. They're the best way to communicate your idea clearly. And when you're trying to do something creative, that's really important."
