Dame Helen Mirren is reportedly the new face of Marks & Spencer.

The 67-year-old actress is rumoured to have been photographed by Annie Leibovitz for the British brand's new campaign after she was spotted taking part in a shoot in London's St Katharine's Docks on Sunday (16.06.13), alongside TV personality Katie Piper who is also believed to be starring in the ads.

It would be the first fashion campaign for the award-winning actress, who is best known for her movie roles, including 'The Queen', and her theatre productions.

This is the first series of adverts shot under the instruction of Marks & Spencer's new creative director Belinda Earl, who started at the brand over six months ago - and is no doubt planning a shake-up for the brand after their womanswear profits fell last year.

Marc Bolland, chief executive of Marks & Spencer, previously said: "We have been able to establish a team that combines the best of M&S experience with exciting, new external talent.

"Their impact will start to come through when we launch our fall/winter 2013-14 collections in July next year."

According to various newspaper reports the shoot is believed to have cost around £500,000, but Marks & Spencer are yet to comment on the campaign.
