Leona Lewis is to auction the Roberto Cavalli dress she wore at the Brits to raise money for Sport Relief.

Leona Lewis stunned audiences at this year's Brit Awards in a specially designed one-off Cavalli dress. Now she's giving fashion fans a chance to buy this priceless piece.

Leona’s dress will be auctioned off on eBay and all the money will go directly to Sport Relief.

The dress was designed and made over two months, with Roberto and Leona discussing ideas about how to make the perfect dress for the occasion.

The Cavalli team worked for nearly 50 hours non-stop to make and embroider the dress from over 55 metres of materials including taffetas and tulle, the bodice - hand encrusted with thousands of Swarovski crystals.

Roberto Cavalli said; “It’s been a great pleasure, for me to work with Leona Lewis right from the start. She has an incredible voice, beautiful eyes, and a fresh and positive attitude. Her stellar, instant success is the proof that real talent still counts. Leona is becoming a role model, her fame is all about strong will and hard work.

"I’m happy that a dress I have created for her for an important occasion, is now being auctioned for a charity. It’s a sign of her great generosity and I’m proud that the name Roberto Cavalli is linked to it.”

Leona’s new single, out Monday March 10th, ‘Footprints In The Sand/ Better in Time’ is the official Sport Relief single of 2008. Check out the video at www.youtube.com/leonalewis.
