Octavia Spencer has advised people not to wear "too much" underwear.
The 47-year-old actress has realised less is more even when it comes to her undergarments as she has urged other people not to go overboard with the lingerie.
Speaking about her style hacks to press at the Toronto International Film Festival on Sunday (10.09.17), the 'The Help' star said: "Ladies, it's not worth it.
"We don't even [need to] say what underwear it is. Just don't wear too much of it."
And the brunette beauty has admitted her style has "evolved" as she is trying to "accommodate for comfort" with her style choices, as she doesn't want to look "trussed up like a Thanksgiving turkey".
The star said: "[My style has] evolved to accommodate for comfort.
"I think it's all about comfort and knowing what fits your body. And I'm there now, I'm all about comfort and what suits me.
"I think trying to wear nine inch heels and tights trussed up like a Thanksgiving turkey, those days are gone [for me]."
Octavia believes if women are confident in their ensemble they will instantly look and feel sexy.
She said: "I think women are sexy when they are confident."
Earlier this year Octavia opted to wear a tuxedo at the Golden Globe Awards ceremony, which made her feel completely liberated.
Speaking previously about her wardrobe choices, she said: "I don't think I've ever been to an awards show and had as much fun as I did this time. I chose to wear a tuxedo and in doing that, I was able to be freer."
The Alabama-born star has admitted it was "wonderful" to attend a red carpet event without being in pain from the shoes she wore and has revealed other guests, who attended the event, noticed her happiness and complemented her on her appearance.
She explained: "I was just radiant. Everybody was like, 'Oh you're so happy,' and they thought it was because of the box office, and I'm thinking, my feet don't hurt and I am not cinched. It was wonderful."
