The 35-year-old actress opted for the same eating plan as supermodel Gisele Bundchen, 35, which saw her eat mostly plant-based meals and train every "single" day to get into shape for her role as Psylocke / Elizabeth Braddock in the fantasy science fiction film.

Speaking to E! online about her healthy eating overhaul, the brunette beauty said: "When I started on 'X-Men', I had been training and doing regular personal training and trying to eat in a healthy way.

"My intention was to just get as fit and as healthy as I could be, for myself. I started working out every single day, and then I also started getting into eating 20-80, where 80 percent of your diet is fruits and vegetables and 20 percent is whatever. So, that can be any kind of meats or breads or anything else, but mostly fruits and vegetables."

And the 'Ride Along 2' star has kept up her organic meal plans since shooting the sequel, and has begun to make almond milk from scratch, which she includes in her organic smoothies made.

She explained: "The thing that I've kept up since X-Men is eating organically. That's been a big part of, I think, feeling healthy, feeling fit, feeling clear. Knowing that you're putting only clean foods into your body, that's been a really important thing for me."

However, Olivia did not intentionally try to lose 12 pounds for her role as the super heroine.

Speaking previously, she said: "It was not intentional. I was trying to learn how to do all of the stunts. My character's the last to be brought into the story. They weren't expecting Psylocke to do a lot of fighting in the movie, but when I had signed on, I said that's something that I really wanted.

"If I wanted the fans to see Psylocke and get a good fight scene for her and the fans, I knew I had to go do it myself. So I started training every day with Taekwondo and sword and the stunt and wire work, and I just ended up losing 12 pounds from working out every day."
