Sharon Stone is auctioning off her clothes for charity.

The actress has put several of her favourite designer items up for sale at Sharity.com, with all proceeds from the winning bids benefiting Yala, a Facebook-focused organisation for young people that promotes peace in the Middle East and North Africa.

Sharon told E! Online: "The kids are really standing up for peace and they're communicating with each other. They're erasing that sense of fear that comes from not knowing."

The 56-year-old star, who is involved with multiple charities and has been a spokesperson for the American Foundation for AIDS Research (amfAR) since 1995, discussed some of her all-time favourite looks that are now up for grabs with the website, including the black fur-trimmed Roberto Cavalli coat she wore in 2006's 'Basic Instinct 2'.

She said: "That thing is so gorgeous, I can't even stand it. It was already a vintage jacket when our costume designer found it. The belt is perfect."

Another of the items courtesy of the Italian designer is a white satin Cavalli dress with a long train she donned to party on his infamous yacht.

She added: "But I can say I wore it at my house a million times. I have two more of them. I just couldn't let go of all of them. I love throwing one on because it's super-glamorous but it's like a great big bag. You can throw it on with some jewellery and run around in bare feet."
