We love the trend for all things fringed, we wear them on our shoes, our bags, hell we've even just bought a fringed waistcoat but not everything looks better fringed.
Givenchy, DSquared2 and Hermes all went Western for Spring/Summer 09and we were keen to get onboard with all things cowboy-esque, however the trend just got scary.
When we heard that River Island had a pair of fringed leggings we imagined a tacky looking fringe on the bottom of the legs but what we were confronted with was much worse.
These leggings featuring layers of tassels all the way down the leg and will set you back £39.99.
Maybe you think we're wrong though and would love to sashay down the street swinging these tassels from your legs.
Perhaps we'll soon see Victoria Beckham and Cheryl Cole sporting them. If so we'll eat our words!
