Leopard print is set to be big news for the summer, but we have to admit we've never exactly thought of this trend as stylish.

In our mind, leopard print represents Bet Lynch in Corrie, but having said that, we may have to rethink our views after they were everywhere on the SS09 catwalks.

Not only that, but celebrities seem to be a fan too, with the likes of Paris Hilton, Cheryl Cole and Jamelia showing off their fabulous take on the trend recently.

Our favourite leopard print outfit so far has to be Cheryl's X Factor outfit, which she wore for the first live show back in September.

Rocking a gorgeous D&G shift with wet look leggings and heels, we reckon this was the first time Chezza started being taken seriously as a style icon, as after this fashion debut, it was all anyone could go on about!

Jaime Murray also sampled the same tunic a few weeks later, only she chose to go bare legged in the middle of winter, but still managed to look gorgeous nonetheless.

Louis Vuitton opted for tribal looks on their catwalk, while DKNY, Roberto Cavalli and Junya Watanabe went for full on leopard print glamour with their shows for SS09.

We loved Christopher Kane's take on the trend however, as he infused new life into it by sampling brightly coloured leopard print cardigans and skirts.

Copycats of his fab style have already found their way onto the high-street, which makes us wonder is this really is a trend which will be making an impact this summer.

We can't think of any style disasters recently that have made the trend look bad, but can a leopard ever change its spots and shake off its tacky image?
