So it comes as no surprise that Olivia makes sure she looks her best at every given opportunity.

Talking to Instyle, she said: 'I get up every morning and I get dressed and I like getting dressed. I like walking out of the house feeling fully pulled together.

'It doesn’t matter if there’s someone standing outside my apartment or not. I couldn’t care less. I like getting dressed for me and not them,' she said.

Her individual style, high street and designer mixed fashion, and love for accessories has ensured that she's become a style icon in her own right since she shot to fame on the MTV show The City.

Olivia has worked on hard to get to where she is now, after a stint at Elle US she has modeled for Mango and Hogan, is an ambassador for Italia lingerie brand Intimissimi and runs her own wbsite, oliviapalermo.com - giving her own opinions on the fashion world. This is all to name but a few though.

The Park Avenue Princess has even managed to draw comparisons to another reality star, Kim Kardashian. She told Instyle about this:

'Whatever she’s done, it’s worked.

'But I do things differently. I’m in fashion. I’m in New York. I’m in London. And I’m in the rest of Europe. She’s LA.

'Our careers are very different. Hers is very much entertainment and working with different brands; and mine is more working on the editorial fashion side, incorporating the luxury market and the modelling aspect of brands,' she told the magazine.

The American beauty knows designer brands and wears them as well as the high street, in the shoot she's spotted in everything from Dolce & Gabbana, Christian Dior and Alexander McQueen - wearing them all with ease and style.

She even revealed the trends that she's loving for the new season.

In an exclusive video with the magazine she explained about the love for winter florals and embroidery which was seen at Matthew Williamson

Like many people she admits that Celine has definitely taken over.

Her fashion favourite bag collection has to go to Victoria Beckham though, and she loves Giuseppe Zanotti heels as well as the Manolo Blahnik range created for the Antonio Berardi runway show.

So, which trend will you be picking up on this season?
