Poppy Dinsey talks at the Clothes Show Live

What I Wore Today (WIWT) founder Poppy Dinsey has been working hard at the Clothes Show Live making sure that we all know what the must-have fashion trends are for the current season.

She's also been interviewing lost of people, but we just want her fashion knowledge.

Her website is a huge hit - where people sign up and post images of their outfits daily. It's perfect for fashion inspiration and great to see how other people style an item that you might have as well.

At the Echo Falls section of the Clothes Show, where Poppy hosted her presentation she shared her must-have fashion trends and tips on where to buy the items from both the designer and the more affordable high street options.

Military

We know that this trend comes around time and time again, but this time it's more focused on camo - it's everywhere.

Max Mara have some huge oversize coat. Acne and Givenchy also have some great pieces too.

If you're heading to the high street for the trends then looks to Mango, Topshop for the 90s feel and MissGuided have some great contrast sleeve army jackets, in particular the sequin sleeve piece.

Oxblood

This is just the fancy way of saying burgundy.

The designers have some great Oxblood leather pieces that will stand the test of time.

Alexander McQueen, Burberry and Derek Lam have some of the best lustworthy pieces.

If you look to the High Street then head to ASOS where they have some great Oxblood wedged velvet boots with a stunning embellished heel. Miss Selfridge have some burgundy peplum pieces. Peplums are still huge now, and more and more people know how to wear them, which is great.

Then Topshop have a great faux-pony skin collar, which is great to isntantly update your look. Add it to a dress or a crisp white shirt and it will bring the new season to your look.

Far East

This trend is set to stay for a while, it was all over the Spring/Summer catwalks, so you won't be buying into a fad that's not here for long.

The reason it's going to do so well, and why more and more designers are looking to the Orient Express for inspiration is because of the effect that China is having on the economy, so they understand they need to grasp onto that market to earn more money.

Designers do this look so well because they work with such rich and luxurious fabrics like silk.

But the High Street has been able to use the prints of this trend and translate it to their peieces. Lipsy, ASOS premium and Cocos Fortune have some great pieces to take a look at.

Gothtastic

This trend is all about black, black and more black. Leather and lace make up most of the pieces and the beauty look has even gone goth with the beautiful dark stained lips we've seen everywhere.

If you want designer then Gucci and Dolce and Gabbana have the most amazing luxurious pieces.

For the High Street look to Topshop and theire beauiful laddered jumpers, ASOS have some great lace dresses and MissGuided have lace maxi dresses to help you channel the trend.

Rococo

This look is definitely over-the-top.

Brocade is the material for this look and will ensure that you stand out in the crowd.

Stella McCartney's collection has been pictured in every high fashion magazine, it's hard to open one up and not see an editorial with pieces from the designer's collection featured.

Balmain also have some great pieces - beautiful boots that are fit for a Princess.

The High Street have also embraced this trend too. Topshop have gone down the shoe-boot route. ASOS have some beautiful heavily embroidered pieces.

Then Poppy loves the River Island microshorts which she suggests are perfect an alternative party look if you don't want a dress.

Of course, there are plenty of other trends that you can get on board with this season too.

Poppy reveals that you should also be after the winter florals, geometric prints, puffa jackets - the perfect winter warming coat - another trend which resurfaces time-and-time again is equestrian and last but not least sci-fi, metallic shades are perfect once again for the party season.
