Fashion Maxidress

Fashion Maxidress

Showing off an unapologetic hand with colour, bright turquoises, startling fuchsias and ocean like blues,  these pieces are definitely not meant for wallflowers. It looks like dancing on the beach at midnight for Abandon’s Spring 2010 collection, which has been inspired by the cool kids’ side of Ibiza with gorgeous prints, fabulous playsuits, and of course the obligatory maxi dress.

Keeping in line with the loungy beach feel, the clothes are airy and fit loosely on the body.  Prints and necklines are tribal inspired, with Navajo inspired cut diamonds and varied, coloured bands that run along the hemlines of dresses. In the beginning, heavily embellishment interplays with vintage style dressing, which gives way to rock’ n’ roll glamour of the psychedelic  60s and 70s.

Key pieces from this collection include prints injected onto maxi dresses, playsuits, and bandeau tops.  Crochet details are splashed over the back of organic swirled dresses and embellished detailing is delicately dripped onto kaftans and tunics. Flirty full skirts and harem trousers can be mixed up with simple cami tops and bold printed t- shirts. These flirtatious pieces offer a feminine contrast to the summer grunge inspired trends that are taking place this season.

To Buy Information: The dress is £45, Bangle set £10 and the sandals are £30. from www.usc.co.uk/
