How will you be spending Valentine's day?

How will you be spending Valentine's day?

February 14 is a perfect excuse to treat ourselves to a new outfit, because hopefully the other half will be treating us to a romantic night out.

Now, a romantic night out may mean completely different things to different people. So, we've designed an outfit that can be worn to almost any occassion - except maybe a black tie event, but honestly how often do we go to them?

Jaeger Skinny Zip Jeans, Indigo

Skinny jeans are the perfect base to an outfit, they can be dressed up or down, depending on what you pair with them.

Wear them with heels to make your legs look that little bit longer and more toned.

If your conscious about your thighs, wear control pants underneath. Just make sure there is no VPL, it's never a good look.

Available from John Lewis, £115.

House of Dereon Sequin striped top

This striped sequin top is perfect if you don't want to carry a jacket around with you, because the long sleeves will provide a little warmth.

The shot of eye catching sparkle stops this outfit from being too 'day-time' and will take you to a restuarant, bar or even just slouching on the couch because the soft jersey makes sure that it's comfortable to wear.

Available from Selfridges, £65.

Black Studded Edge Peep Toe Heels

A simple black court shoe will look great with this outfit, keeping it simple and understated.

Wear a platform because it'll give a little extra height - making your legs look like they go on forever - and it'll provide a little more comfort.

If you fancy making a statement with your shoes opt for a leopard print pair. The classic print means you'll wear them for years to come.

Get these black ones from New Look though, £27.99.

Women's Ted Baker Quilted clutch bag, Red

Finally, add some colour with a clutch bag.

Yes, red may be an obvious choice for Valentine's Day but it looks great stood out against the black items.

This long quilted clutch is big enough to fit all of your essentials in too.

Match a red lip with your outfit, but don't forget your Lipcote of you're eating out. Nobody wants the lip liner look.

Available from House of Fraser, £69.
