Renli Su AW14

Renli Su AW14

There’s a meticulous attention to detail with the Renli Su Autumn/Winter collection that was showcased at Fashion Scout during London Fashion Week.

The clothing continues to showcase Renli’s passion for texture and surface, exploring diverse international fabrics through 13 looks.

At the heart of this collection is an unique Indian handmade organic linen called Khadi, combined with wool and lined blended organic fabrics from Ireland.

Combined with a seasonal subject matter, each collection aims to convey the idea that garments not only retain physical traces of their past, but also forms an intrinsic bond with their wearer through the memories associated with them.

This season introduces a new technique, using resin and inks painted onto the fabric’s surface to create new effects and textures.

Here Renli delves into the work of Brazilian artist Mira Schendel for inspiration, combining an elegant, feminine aesthetic with oversized silhouettes and geometric designs.

Earthy white, dusty grey, ivory and terracotta form the basis of the colour palette for this season and the collection is accented by hand-knitted woollen accessories created for everyday use.
