We at Femalefirst.co.uk when asked to review a product like to put it under the microscope in real life situations -  it all comes down to how does it perform doing the tasks that it is manufactured to carry out.

Gtech Multi

Gtech Multi

So when we accepted the request to test the Gtech Multi, not as a household vacuum but also as an ideal vac for keeping the inside of a car spotless we were going to put it through its paces.

Labelled as a powerful high performance cordless hand-held vacuum cleaner it was about to be challenged.

We have three cars in our household, a Peugeot people carrier, a Vauxhall Astra, and a Volvo XC60 – bring on the Gtech Multi.

The people carrier and the XC60 were going to be the hardest tasks, one used to take the kids to and from school, while the other is used, particularly at weekend to get out in the country and ‘off road’ where possible which, despite our best efforts often gets rather dirty inside.

The Gtech Multi was easy and light to handle in the tight confines of a car, no trailing wires, and certainly not loss of suction as a result.

It had all the attachments you find on an upright vacuum and the cleaning performance of its bigger sister the AirRam, all packed into a cordless hand-held vacuum.

The Gtech Multi is lightweight and ideally designed to clean the hard to reach places in a car, with a powerful motor and the high airflow needed to make short work of tight spaces between the seats and around the upholstery, as well as throughout the full interior.

The Power Brush Head was particularly useful at clearing grass, twigs, and dried mud from the carpets and upholstery. One good point was the light that enabled the user to see in the darkest of spaces.

The Gtech Multi also comes with a range of other tools including a crevice tool, dusting brush and flexible hose are all conveniently stowed away in the body of the vacuum.

A big plus was the Multi’s, professional-grade 22V Lithium-ion battery which takes 4-hour to charge but returns 20 minutes of cordless vacuum cleaning; a 1-hour top up charge will deliver an additional run-time, with a 4-stage LED display indicating how much charge is left in the battery.

We managed to vacuum the two biggest motors with one charge only needing to empty the dust container once. The quick 1 hour top up enabled us to complete the trio.

We would certainly agree that the Gtech Multi leaves many of its competitors in the dark, a perfect car vacuum and as a bonus handy round the house.
