It looks like 2012 is set to be the year for British actress Amara Karan as she is back on the big screen this week with her new movie A Fantastic Fear of Everything.

Since kicking off her career in 2007 the actress has moved between TV and movies with the likes of St Trinian's and The Darjeeling Limited under her belt pretty early.

But the last twelve months has been her busiest period as she has finally begun to make her mark in movie TV & film.

Earlier this year she joined Trevor Eve & Helen Baxendale in the powerful ITV drama Kidnap and Ransom.

However it seems to be in movies where she is most comfortable and she has already been charming audiences with All in Good Time.

All in Good Time is a big screen adaptation of the play by Bill Naughton and saw Nigel Cole return to the director's chair.

The movie follows Atul and Vina a newly-wed couple whose relationship is put under pressure when they are forced to live with Atul's parents.

All In Good Time is a tender hearted and funny comedy with strong performances from all of the cast.

But Karan delivers a very charming and sincere performance that really showed her off as a great British talent.

And this week she is back as she teams up with funny man Simon Pegg as well as directors Crispian Mills and Chris Hopewell.

Karan takes on the role of Sangeet in a movie that follows children's author Jack (Pegg) who turns into a nervous wreck after researching Victorian serial killer for a new novel.

And the actress is back on a movie set as she is currently filming her new project Jadoo, which is due for release next year.

Directed by Amit Gupta this is another comedy project for Karan and sees her star alongside Tom Mison and Adeel Akhtar.

A Fantastic Fear of Everything is released 8th June
