Frankenweenie

Frankenweenie

Frankenweenie looks set to be one of the animation movies not to miss this autumn as Tim Burton returns to the director's chair.

The movie also sees a return to stop-motion animation for the filmmaker as he remakes his own short film from the eighties.

And we have a new clip from the movie for you to enjoy:

We have already been treated to a Burton directed movie this year - in the form of Dark Shadows - but you have to go back to Corpse Bride in 2005 when he last worked with stop motion animation.

As we all know Burton doesn't like to run with the pack and so he has shot Frankenweenie in stunning black and white - it is going to be one of the most visually stunning animation movies of the year.

And as with any Burton project has a great voice cast on hand to bring the characters to life as he reunites with Winona Ryder, Catherine O'Hara and Christopher Lee.

Charlie Tahan will voice the central character of Victor while Martin Landau and Martin Short are also on board.

After unexpectedly losing his beloved dog Sparky, young Victor harnesses the power of science to bring his best friend back to life - with just a few minor adjustments.

He tries to hide his home-sewn creation, but when Sparky gets out, Victor’s fellow students, teachers and the entire town all learn that getting a new 'leash on life' can be monstrous.

Frankenweenie is released 17th October
