You don't have a Steven Soderbergh project for a while and then two come along at once!! Yes the Oscar winning filmmaker will be back in the new year with Haywire - hot off the heels of the success of Contagion.
The movie sees Gina Carano make only her second appearance in a feature film as she take on the role of Mallory Kane.
But she is supported by one hell of a an experienced cast as Ewan McGregor, Michael Fassbender, Michael Douglas, Antonio Banderas and Channing Tatum are all aboard the project.
Mallory Kane (Carano) is a highly trained operative who works for a government security contractor in the dirtiest, most dangerous corners of the world.
After successfully freeing a Chinese journalist held hostage, she is double crossed and left for dead by someone close to her in her own agency.
Suddenly the target of skilled assassins who know her every move, Mallory must find the truth in order to stay alive.
Haywire promises to be the first action packed and adrenaline movie of 2012 - and knowing Soderbergh it will be well worth the watch!
Haywire is released 20th January 2012.
