Gus Vant Sant is back in the director's chair this week with his new movie Restless - which sees him team up with Mia Wasikowska and Henry Hopper.

Restless is the first movie project for Sant since the hugely successful Milk back in 2009 but he now switches the political drama for a coming of age story.

It's been a busy year for Wasikowska with Jane Eyre already under her belt and Albert Nobbs due for release.

For Henry Hopper, son of Dennis Hopper, this is his first major role and a part that looks set to announce him to the acting world.

In the film, two outsiders, both shaped by the circumstances that have brought them together, forge a deep and lasting love. 

Gus Van Sant is one of the most astute observers of people living life on the edge, comes a take on friendship and young love as engaging and true as it is provocative and stirring.

Restless is released 21st October.
