To say that Taylor Lautner has caused a bit of a stir since cutting off that awful long hair and beefing up a bit is a bit f an understatement.

And this week he is back as Jacob Black, who is proving to be just as popular as Robert Pattinson’s Edward Cullen - so are you Team Jacob or Team Edward?

But it won’t be long until Lautner will be waving goodbye to the character of Jacob as The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 marks the beginning of the end.

Lautner has already shown this year that he does have leading man potential with Abduction - an all action movie that hit the big screen earlier this year.

While he didn’t quite the nail the action movie - mostly down to his youth and inexperience - he did show that this genre could be right up his street.

And the teenager as has a couple of projects in the pipeline for the coming year… including Incarceron.

Incarceron looks set to see the actor team up with Maria Juan Garcias as they find a key that has the potential to set them both free.

The movie has yet to begin filming and it is scheduled for a 2013 release.

He has also been linked to the movie Goliath, which is set to be directed by Scott Derrickson, while Dwayne Johnson has also been linked to the movie.

This week he is back as the brooding Jacob, who is far from impressed when he learns that Bella is set to wed Edward.

But when Bella is threatened by the Quileute due to her pregnancy he vows, once again, that he will protect her.

The final instalment of the hit franchise will follow this time next year.

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part is released 18th November.
