Up There

Up There

Up There tells the story of the deceased Martin, played by Burn Gorman (Dark Knight Rises, Pacific Rim, Torchwood), who is stuck in a very modern limbo, between death and the possibility of moving ‘Up There’.

In a dead-end job, welcoming the newly departed into the afterlife, he dreams of going 'Up There'.

His plans are thrown into disarray when he has to team up with relentlessly chirpy Rash, played by Aymen Hamdouchi (My Brother The Devil, Green Zone) and together they manage to lose a new arrival.

Up There has just been nominated for two BAFTA Scotland awards - Best Director and Best Film, due to be announced on 18 November. The film was awarded the Best Independent Film award earlier this year at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival in the US and the main award at the Rhode Island International Film Festival.

Starring alongside Burn Gorman, Aymen Hamdouchi, Kate O’Flynn, Jo Hartley, Warren Brown, Kulvinder Ghir, Iain De Caestecker, Chris Waitt, Alexander Morton.

Up There is released 16th November.
