Aldren Ehrenreich is an actor who is set to have a very exciting 2013 as he has some big projects ahead of him.
He may have kicked off his acting career back in 2005 but it is Beautiful Creatures that is one of the biggest film role to date.
Much like his co-star Alice Englert this is the film that looks set to send his star rocketing.
Like most actor Ehrenreich kicked off his career in television with small parts in the likes of Supernatural and CIS: Crime Scene Investigation.
But it wasn't long before he began making the transition into films as he worked on shorts Switcheroo! and Greased.
It was 2009 when he made his big screen feature length film debut as he teamed up with director Francis Ford Coppola in Tetro.
He took on the central role of Bennie in the hard hitting drama while Vincent Gallo was also on the cast list.
Despite a limited release the movie was met well by the critics and it did allow the young actor to show what he was about.
After Tetro Ehrenreich returned to short projects with Ten Fingers before appearing in Twixt.
But 2013 is set to be the year where he well and truly grabs everyone's attention with two great projects on the horizon.
First up is Beautiful Creatures as the Kami Garcia & Margaret Stohl has been adapted for the big screen.
The film sees Richard LaGravenese back in the director's chair and sees Ehrenreich team up with Englert, Jeremy Irons, Viola Davis and Emma Thompson.
Ethan longs to escape his small Southern town. He meets a mysterious new girl, Lena. Together, they uncover dark secrets about their respective families, their history and their town.
This is the latest teen novel to be adapted for the big screen and the film is being tipped to replace The Twilight Saga.
We will also be seeing Ehrenreich in Stoker next month, which is the English speaking debut for director Chan-wook Park.
The script was written by actor Wentworth Miller while Mia Wasikowska, Nicole Kidman and Matthew Goode lead the cast list.
The young actor has also completed work on Running Wild and Blue Jasmine - the latter being the latest project from director Woody Allen.
Keep your eye out for Aldren Ehrenreich as he is finally seeing his career on the rise.
Beautiful Creatures is out now.
