God Help The Girl

God Help The Girl

If you are looking for a British film to enjoy this summer, then look no further than God Help The Girl.

God Help The Girl was a film that whipped up a storm at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year - where it won the World Cinema Dramatic Special Jury Award - and now we get the chance to see what all the fuss is about.

The movie is written and directed by Stuart Murdoch, as he makes his directorial debut with this project. Murdoch has made a name for himself working on film soundtracks in recent years, and now he is making the leap into the director's chair.

God Help The Girl is one of the British movies that I have been looking forward to this summer, and we have a brand new trailer for you to take a look at:

Murdoch has brought together a young and very exciting cast list, with Emily Browning leads the way.

Browning will take on the central role of Eve, and is joined by Hannah Murray and Olly Alexander.

God Help The Girl is a coming of age tale set in Glasgow over the course of one hazy summer.

Written, directed and with original songs by Stuart Murdoch, lead singer of the group Belle and Sebastian, God Help The Girl is a story of a young girls problems entering adult life, uniquely told through a soundtrack of indie pop.

God Help The Girl is released 22nd August.
