Alex Pettyfer admits that he was embarrassed when he had to strip for his new movie Magic Mike.
The movie sees Pettyfer team up with Channing Tatum and Matthew McConaughey and it is based on Tatum's days as a stripper before he became an actor.
And the actor admits that just dancing in time was a huge problem.
Speaking to Cosmopolitan the actor said: "I find it very hard to put one foot in front of the other, let alone move to the rhythm.
"And to dance with no clothes on, that's a new level of embarrassment."
Listen, it worked for Jason Biggs and made him ultra-famous when he stripped in American Pie. So yeah, why wouldn't a guy try it out in real life?"
The movie is directed by Steven Soderbergh, in what is his third movie in nine months after the success of Contagion and Haywire.
Magic Mike is the first movie outing for Pettyfer since In Time at the back end of last year and it is his most grown up role to date.
Magic Mike is released 11th July.
