Alice In Wonderland has comfortably remained at the top of the U.S. box office for a second week.

Tim Burton's 3D movie grossed a further $62 million to hold onto the number one spot in spectacular style.

The movie, which sees Burton reunite with Johnny Depp has now grossed in excess off $429 million at the global box office in just two weeks.

Matt Damon's latest film with director Paul Greengrass comes in the form of war film Green Zone, and it had to settle for the number one spot.

In past weeks with a gross of over $14 million the movie would have sat at the top of the box office.

The Iraq war movie sees Damon star as Miller who goes on the search of the truth behind weapons of mass destruction and the reason that America went to war.

Comedy She's Out of My League was a second new entry at three while Robert Pattinson was back on the chart at four with Remember Me. The movie sees him team up with Emile De Ravin and Pierce Brosnan.

Shutter Island dropped two places to round off the top five. There was a fourth new entry at six in the for of Our Family Wedding.

This week's biggest faller came in the form of Brooklyn's Finest, which dropped six places from two to eight.

There was a five place drop for Bruce Willis' latest comedy Cop Out, which ended the week at nine, while The Crazies rounded off the top ten with a four place drop from last week's four.
