Amy Adams Excited By Oscar Nod Because Of Daughter

Amy Adams has revealed that she is more excited about this Oscar nomination as she can experience it with her daughter.

The actress picked up her third Oscar nod for her performance in The Fighter, having been nominated for Doubt and Junebug in the past.

But Adams, who became a mother last year, wants to experience Sunday's ceremony with her young daughter.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight the actress said: "I'm going to hang out with my little girl this time around.

"It's special because I have a daughter now, and she can see mommy and all of that."

"I'm excited to celebrate with the cast and crew of The Fighter."

The Fighter picked up seven nominations all together - including Best Picture and Best Supporting Actor and Actress for Christian Bale and Melissa Leo.

The Fighter is out now.
