Amy Adams revealed that she trained with a baseball coach as she prepared for her new movie Trouble With The Curve.

The Oscar nominated actress is set to play Clint Eastwood's daughter in the baseball drama but admits that she has never been much of an athlete.

Speaking to The Boston Herald the actress said: "I'm really good at gymnastics, and that's about it.

"So I worked with a baseball coach, which was very empowering for me because I've never been a girl that was very good at catching a ball, hitting a ball, anything like that."

"I come from a family of jocks. I've always been very comfortable around athletics. I've just never been comfortable playing them.

"So it was really exciting to work with somebody who actually taught me that skill."

Trouble With The Curve sees Robert Lorenz in the director's chair while Justin Timberlake and John Goodman join Adams and Eastwood on the cast list.

We are also going to be seeing Adams in The Master this autumn and it is a movie that has been making waves at the U.S. box office.

Trouble With The Curve is released 30th November.
