Angelina Jolie Wanted To Work With McAvoy

Angelina Jolie has revealed that she was keen to work alongside James McAvoy.

The pair starred together in the action movie Wanted back in 2008 and the actress admits that she thought his casting was 'unusual' but jumped at the chance to work with him.

Speaking to COntactMusic the actress said: "I was itching to do something that was physical because I had done some emotional films and I had been at home with the kids.

"I didn't know that there was anything original out there until I came across this script.

"Then I heard they were casting James McAvoy and I thought, 'That sounds really unusual.' Everyone thinks of him as this sweet, fun guy - which he is - but he's also from Scotland, and that's a tough place."

And the actress is back in the action role this summer as she stars in Phillip Royce's latest movie Salt, in which she take on the role of a CIA agent who is accused of being a Russian spy.

However the actress will not be returning to the Wanted sequel which is currently in the pipeline, McAvoy has been linked with the movie.

Salt is released 20th August.
