Anna Kendrick Won't Star In Cruise/Smith Movie

Anna Kendrick insists she won't be a part of Tom Cruise and Will Smith's much-anticipated collaborative blockbuster, even though she was among the celebrities who showed up for a top secret table reading earlier this month (Jul10).
 
The actress was one of the stars spotted leaving Hollywood diner the Saddle Ranch after a meeting with Cruise and Smith - but she claims she was just sitting in for pal Reese Witherspoon.
 
Kendrick tells TV news show Access Hollywood, "It was just a table read, and you know, it’s a movie that’s in production so I’m not really at liberty to talk about it.
 
"I think I can safely say I’m not in it. I’m just standing in for Reese Witherspoon. They just asked me to do it and I was like, ‘Hell, yeah!’ It was fun, it was really fun."

The Up In The Air star has already enjoyed box office success this summer as she reprised the role of Jessica Stanley in Twilight Saga: Eclipse, the third movie in the franchise, and will be back in Scott Pilgrim vs the World.

Directed by Edgar Wright the movie is based on the Scott pilgrim comic book series by Lee O'Malley and sees her star alongside Michael Cera, Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Chris Evans.

She has already completed filming on Live With It, which also stars Joseph Gordon Levitt and Seth Rogen, and will return to Twilight for Breaking Dawn.

Scott Pilgrim vs the World is released 25th August.
