Beyonce Knowles For Wonder Woman

Beyonce is rumoured to be in talks to play Wonder Woman in a big screen adaptation of the comic character.

Wonder Woman is a movie that has been in the pipeline for sometime after the success of movies such as IronMan and Spiderman in recent years.

According ComicBookMovie.com the actress will soon be entering talks with writers and the director of the movie.

The singer and actress told a press conference that being cast as the character "would be a very bold choice. A black Wonder Woman would be a powerful thing", adding that "it would be a dream come true" to land the part.

There have also been a series of other actresses that have been considered for the part over the last year, including Jessica Biel, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Christina Milian and Shannyn Sossamon.

Production on the film could possibly start next year with a 2011 release.

From an acting perspective 2009 has been a good year for Beyonce her one release, Obsessed, topped the American box office.

She is currently working on Sister, Sister and Aida.
