Bonnie Wright has revealed that the Harry Potter series will end on a 'high'.

The young actress is set to reprise the role of Ginny Weasley in the first part of the final instalment, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, which hits the big screen this week.

Wright has appeared in all of the movies and kicked off her acting career in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone back in 2001.

Speaking to Vogue the actress said: "I’m sad Harry Potter has come to an end but it really ended on a high. Some things can go on too long and become a negative experience - I'm glad that couldn’t happen."

"I started filming it when I was 9 and I can hardly believe it's 10 years later - you don't really realise your sense of belonging to something like that until it’s over.

"But now it's just really exciting to see what happens next."

Like most of the Potter cast the actress has already moved onto a new project as she is current filming Geography of the Hapless Heart, which also stars Douglas Booth and Matthew McNulty.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 is released 19th November.
