The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 made it two weeks at the top of the U.S. box office as it took a further $62.2 million to hold onto the #1 spot.

The first part of the final instalment has so far taken in excess of $489 million at the global box office - it looks set to be one of the biggest movies of 2011.

The Muppets was this week's highest new entry as it opened at number two with an impressive haul of $42 million.

Had The Muppets not been up against the might of Twilight Saga then $42 million would have been more than enough to snatch the top spot.

But Kermit, Miss Piggy and co had to settle for second - their first movie release in over a decade.

Happy Feet Two fell a single place this weekend to number three taking a further $18.5 million.

Arthur Christmas repeated it's success on the other side of the Atlantic as the charming Christmas movie opened at number four.
