Carey Mulligan has admitted she couldn't believe that she had auditioned alongside Leonardo Dicaprio for The Great Gatsby.
The pair have teamed up for the big screen adaptation of the F Scott Fitzgerald, which will be directed by Baz Luhrmann.
Speaking to Collider the actress said: "Leonardo is the most incredible actor, on the planet, with a couple of people alongside him...
"I walked away from my audition for that and I couldn't believe that I'd been acting with him.
"I've worked with amazing people, but my friends freak out that I'm working with him. I freak out in a geeky acting way. They freak out in a starstruck way. He's Leonardo DiCaprio, and his fame is so big."
It's been a great year for Mulligan as she had found success with Never Let Me Go and Drive.
The Great Gatsby is one project that she has in the pipeline as she is set to star in Shame in the new year.
She will also work with Joel & Ethan Coen in Inside Llewyn Davies.
