Carey Mulligan

Carey Mulligan has revealed that she had always wanted to act alongside Judi Dench and it was a dream come true when they worked together on Pride and Prejudice.

Mulligan took on the role of Kitty Bennet in Joe Wright's adaptation of the novel, which was her first movie role.

And she admits that she couldn't believe it when she found herself cast alongside one of the industry's finest actresses.

Speaking to Vogue the Oscar nominated actress said: "When I was 15, I'd had vivid dreams of acting with Judi Dench

"It was never Tom Cruise, always Judi Dench. I'd wake up and go, 'Not real!' and then I'd cry. The first day of Pride And Prejudice, there was Judi Dench."

Since then Mulligan has seen her career soar, thanks to the release of An Education last year, and she is back on the big screen next month with her new movie Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps.

The film is a a sequel to the eighties classic and sees Oliver Stone return to the director's chair and Michael Douglas to the role of Gordon Gekko.

She will also reunite with Keira Knightley next year for the big screen adaptation of Never Let Me Go.

Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps is released 6th October.
