Christina Aguilera has revealed that she thrilled to be able to get advice from Cher whilst working together on Burlesque.
The Dirty hitmaker makes her acting debut next month in the Steve Antin directed movie Burlesque alongside Cher, Kristen Bell, Cam Gigandet and Stanley Tucci.
Aguilera takes on the role of Ali, a small-town girl who ventures to Los Angeles and finds her place in a neo-burlesque club run by a former dancer.
And the singer admits that it was great to get some guidance from the Oscar winner.
Speaking to Access Hollywood the singer turned actress said: "To get advice [from] such a veteran in the business and such a strong woman - who doesn't beat around the bush, who won't give a compliment unless she really means it - was huge to me and for me.
"And it was nice walking away with a friend in Cher, you know? It's nice!"
Burlesque is released 17th December.
