Clint Eastwood

Clint Eastwood has cast his own son in his next movie.

The veteran actor, who is rumoured to have quit acting after his role in Gran Torino, has cast Scott Eastwood in his up and coming movie about Nelson Mandela.

The film, which also stars Matt Damon and Morgan Freeman, is adapted from John Carlin's book Playing the Enemy.

The Human Factor looks at life for Nelson Mandela after the fall of apartheid in South Africa during his first term as president when campaigned to host the 1995 Rugby World Cup event as an opportunity to unite his countrymen.

This is not the first time that the twenty two year old has appeared in a film directed by his father after landing roles in Gran Torino and war film Flags of our Fathers.

Scott will take on the role of a member of the rugby team while Matt Damon will play Francois Piennar, the team's captain. Freeman, who worked with Eastwood on Forgiven and Million Dollar Baby has been cast as Mandela.
