Colin Firth has admitted that there is a script for a third Bridget Jones movie.

The sequel is rumoured to follow Bridget and Mark as they struggle to have a baby - until she has a fling with Daniel.

And Firth, who is back on the big screen this week with Tinker, Tailor, Soldier. Spy has called the team that worked on the Bridge Jones' movies a family.

Speaking to the Press Association the actor said: "It does become a bit of a family at the time, it'll be like one of those rather fraught family reunions at Christmas.

"There's a script. This character has obviously inhabited part of my life, I'm always interested to see where it's taken, and it does look as if it's going somewhere interesting."

A Bridget Jones movie has not graced the big screen since back in 2004 when Edge of Reason was released.

Firth was on the red carpet in London earlier this week for the premiere of Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy - which is already being called a masterpiece by the critics.
