Daniel Radcliffe has admitted that he was unhappy with his performance in Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince is the sixth film in the series and was released back in 2009 and despite Radcliffe's worries about his performance the movie went on to gross over $933 million at the global box office.

The film is the third most successful Potter movie at the box office behind The Philosopher's Stone and Order of the Phoenix.

He told Entertainment Weekly: "This film has been hard to make, and I've had some of the most trying moments, both physically and mentally, than ever before.

"I wasn't entirely thrilled with my performance in Half-Blood, I found it quite samey, and didn't think there was enough variation in it.

"So I've worked hard to make sure that if the seventh film comes out and I'm still unhappy with it, I'll know it won't be from lack of trying."

But Radcliffe will have a chance to redeem himself as the final movie, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallow, will be split into two, the first part being released in November.

We haven't seen Radcliffe on the big screen since Half Blood Prince but the actor has plenty of projects in the pipeline including a remake of All Quiet On The Western Front and The Woman In Black.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I is released 19th November.
