Daryl Hannah was surprised when Blade Runner wasn't an instant success.
The actress starred alongside Harrison Ford in Ridley Scott's sci-fi classic taking on the role of Pris.
Speaking to Contactmusic the actress said: "I definitely knew it was special when I was making it. I didn't know that it would be enduring, in fact when it came out nobody really went to go see it and it kind of disappeared pretty fast.
"It only started having its popularity much later.
"It really wasn't that appreciated when it first came out which actually took me by surprise because I thought it was the greatest, I loved it, I thought it was fantastic.
"It was kind of a late bloomer."
Despite not being the box office success that the actress expected the movie has gone on to become a sci-fi classic.
Blade Runner has built a cult following over the years and is now widely recognised as one of the most influential movies in this genre.
