Eat Pray Love

Eat Pray Love has taken the top spot in Australia over the weekend.

Julia Roberts is back on the big screen with the Ryan Murphy directed movie and the film is a big screen adaptation of Elizabeth Gilbert's novel of the same name.

Roberts takes on the role of Gilbert, a married woman realizes how unhappy her marriage really is, and that her life needs to go in a different direction.

After a painful divorce, she takes off on a round-the-world journey to "find herself".

With Eat Pray Love, which took $3.4 million, at number one last week's top movie Despicable Me had to settle for second as it dropped just a single place.

There was also a one place drop for Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole. Dinner For Schmucks was up three places from seven to this week's number four.

Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps dropped one place while The Last Airbender was one of this week's biggest fallers as it dropped three places from thee to six.

Buried was the second and final new entry inside the top ten this week as Ryan Reynolds left behind the big budget blockbuster for the independent picture.

Diary of A Wimpy Kid and Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore were also three place fallers this week as they finished the week at eight and nine.

Easy A rounded off the top ten after dropping just a single place.
