Emma Roberts has admitted that she would love to take on a movie role that would require her to show off her vocal talents.
The actress returned to the big screen at the weekend with her new movie Scream 4, the first film in the franchise in over a decade.
However it's a more musical style movie that the young actress has her eye one.
Speaking to JustJared.com the actress said: "I just think you can't ever be seen as both equally. You are always going to be one more or the other.
"For me, I want to be an actor. I would love to do something like Country Strong or Walk the Line where they sang in a movie. I think that would be really interesting."
And while Roberts is keen to sing in a movie she reveals that she has no desire to make an album or juggle an acting and music career.
"As far as an album, I just think it's too much. I can't be in front of people that often, I need time to myself and I barely have time to myself, let alone if I was on tour or being a singer. I could not deal [with it].
