Emma Roberts

Emma Roberts has revealed that she picks scripts and projects that she likes.

The actress is back on the big screen this week as joins forces with Brit actor Freddie Highmore for The Art of Getting By.

She she says budget is never something that she considers when making a movie and she just goes with what she likes.

Speaking to Metro the actress said: "I just pick what I like. I don't care if you're making a movie for a billion dollars or one dollar.

"I'm such a sucker for romantic comedies, so I really want to make a really romantic comedy at some point."

And while Julia Roberts may be her aunt Emma admits that no one in her family encouraged her to go into acting. "Nobody encouraged me to get into acting. I always wanted to do it - at home everyone would not talk about it, hoping I would forget.

"I loved going to set. You would have to drag me off. I would always be doing people's hair and make-up. I remember I was on Erin Brockovich a lot."

Roberts has already starred in Scream 4 this year and she has completed work on Celeste and Jesse Forever, which also stars Elijah Wood and Rashida Jones.

The Art of Getting By is released 2nd September.
