Emma Stone has revealed that values the opinion of co-star Ryan Gosling.

The pair worked together for the first time on comedy Crazy, Stupid, Love and are set to reunite next year on Gangster Squad.

And Stone admits that she sometimes asks the actor to read through some scripts as she really likes to know what he has to say about a project.

Speaking to Interview magazine the actress said: "I've asked him to read a couple of scripts. I just really like hearing his viewpoint, because I know that it's never going to be tainted.

"He's very much his own person. It has really just been scripts so far, because I only met him two years ago when we did Crazy, Stupid, Love, but it was like meeting a member of your team or something. I really like his brain."

Gangster Squad sees the pair once again work together as novel Tales from the Gangster Squad by Paul Lieberman is brought to the big screen.

Ruben Fleischer is in the director's chair for the movie while Josh Brolin, Sean Penn and Giovanni Ribisi are also on the cast list.

Gangster Squad is released 11th January.
