Ewan McGregor is set to star in thriller Our Kind of Traitor, which is an adaptation of the John le Carre novel of the same name.
The last le Carre novel that was adapted for the big screen was Tinker Tailor Solider Spy and the movie was both a box office and critical triumph.
The Daily Mail says that McGregor has landed a role in the espionage film which looks set to be directed by Justin Kurzel.
Kurzel was behind movie Snowtown and is currently filming his second film The Turning.
We have already seen McGregor on the big screen this year as he teamed up with Naomi Watts for The Impossible.
He is also set to star in Jack The Giant Slayer - a new take on Jack and the Beanstalk - and August: Osage County.
Born To Be King and Son of a Gun are also projects for the actor that are currently in pre-production.
