George Clooney has reportedly dropped out of his starring role in director pal Steven Soderbergh's The Man From U.N.C.L.E..

Production on the spy drama was due to begin in February (12), but the Ocean's Eleven star is no longer planning to lead the project, according to Deadline.com.
 
The movie is a big screen adaptation of the 1960s TV show which starred Robert Vaughn and David McCallum as secret agents.

Clooney is set to return to the big screen later this year with his new movie Idea of March - his first film since The American.

As well as starring in the film Clooney is also on directing duties and has penned the script.

He has also completed work on The Descendants and Gravity, which also stars Sandra Bullock.
