Halle Berry hit out at Hollywood for not wanting to make ‘black’ movies.
The actress has been nominated for another Golden Globe for her performance in Frankie and Alice, which has been receiving support from the critics, but Berry believes that producers are still reluctant to cast her in certain movies.
Speaking to The Wrap the actress said: "There've been roles that I've really wanted to play and I've had to listen to producers say to me, 'We don't want to go black with the role because if we go black it changes the whole story because who would her parents be?"
"'Then we've got to cast a black guy for the father. Then it becomes a black movie and then who's going to see it?'"
Frankie and Alice is the first movie for the Oscar winner since Thing We Lost In The Fire in early 2008.
But she has already completed work on Dark Tide and has Shoe Addicts Anonymous and The Shank Robbers in the pipeline.
